He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Wood and Nell Bow Wood; his wife Carol; and his brothers, Bob and Tom Wood.
He is survived by: his children, Rena Wood Hayes and Billy Gavin Wood (Kim); his grandchildren, Tanner, Hannah Hayes, Gavin (Lauren), Tyler, Jax, Jase and Jaydee Wood; his great grandchild Hudson Wood; his sisters, Helen Wood Barr and Regina Foushee; and his siblings-in-law, Faye Wood, Harold Moore (Mary), Neil Moore (Pat) and Steve Moore (Karen). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ekron Baptist Church (2775 Haysville Rd, Ekron, KY 40117).
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Ekron Baptist Church Building Fund.
