He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Cille" Whelan; his daughters, Sheila Ford, Diana Whelan, Pam Adkisson and Barbara Medley (John); his grandchildren, Brandon, David Medley, Cameron Adkisson, Whitney Whelan and Kayla Fuchs (Michael); his great grandchildren, Brody, Wyatt Medley, Bentley Lucas and Rylee Fuchs; and his siblings, Gene Whelan, Marion Whelan, James "Red" Whelan, Anna McGehee and Rosetta Ditto.
