It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Fred Wheatley of Brandenburg, Kentucky, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Coleman F. Wheatley and Gola F. Wheatley (Williams); his grandchildren, Fredric Caleb "Cale" Brown and Sarah Smith Hottell; his brothers, Wilbur and Jewel Wheatley; and his former wife Rena Lou Wheatley.

He is survived by: his wife Liz Wheatley; his children, Amanda Brown (Tony), Pat Wheatley (Leona), Rebecca Wells (Don) and Donna Reed (Doug); his stepchildren, Tim Smith (Kittie), Kim Myers, Kenton Smith (Sandy) and Jamie Cundiff (Steve); his grandchildren, Anthony, Megan, Ned Brown, Patrick C. Wheatley, Jr., Christopher Lawson, Aaron and Julie Reed; and his stepgrandchildren, Joseph, Robey, Cynthia Smith, Kurt, Laura Myers, Sidney, Taylor, Kendell Smith, Abbigail Lilly, Jonah, Max and Kimberly Cundiff. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; and 17 step great grandchildren.

The family would prefer, that masks be worn and social distancing be followed during the visitation and funeral mass.
