He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Cummings and Susie Troutman Cummings; his former wife Janice Cummings; and his sisters, Helen Thompson, Deloris Davidson, Sue Calvert and Jean Cole.

He is survived by: his children, Joey Cummings (Amanda), Stacy Jupin (Amy), Julie Fortner (Damon) and Joseph Eric Cummings (Ja'net); his grandchildren, Ali, Ericka, Cory, Greg, Kaysi, Cale, Case, Ory, Victoria and Danielle; his great grandchildren, Kylin, Masen, Baylor, Baylen, Braden, Nova, Kayleigh, Karmyn, Piper, Trinity, Preslyn, Taivyn, Finley and Kinsley; his niece Rosie Carroll; and his nephews, Matt Wise and Tyrone Cummings.
