He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Adams and Rhoda Aleatha Adams Floyd (Pack); and his siblings, Wayne, James Adams and Lena Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Poole Adams; his sons, Gary Poole (Bobbi Jo) and Jon Wesley Adams; his grandchildren, Austin Poole, Garett Poole (Jordin) and Kaylie Poole; his great grandchild Gunner Poole; and his sibling's children, Angela Laslie and Alvin "Ooner" Thompson, Jr.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hosparus of Central Kentucky or to New Highland Baptist Church Cemetery.
