He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel David, Sr. and Cecelia Rose; and his brother-in-law John Boone. He is survived by: his wife Jani; his daughter Heather Rose Morris (Chad); his grandchildren, Kaitlin and Pierce; his siblings-in-law, Cathy Blackburn (Bob), Annie McDevitt (Steve), Diane Boone and Jeff Boone (Elaine); and his cousins, Dennis and Denise Raney. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews; five great nieces and nephews.
