It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Fay Applegate of Brandenburg, Kentucky, who passed away on June 21, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Dorsey and Flora Mae Dorsey (Logsdon); and her children, Johnny, Robin and Lawana Applegate.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jacque Strickland of Scottsburg, IN and Debbie Carrier (Bill) of Shepherdsville, KY; her son-in-law William (Aikin); her great grandchildren, Seth (Elizabeth), Cody (Shayne), Faith, Landen, Jake, Bryleigh Keith, Brently, Rowan, Elijah, Cayden Strickland and Gracie Hardison; her sister Jane Brown of Louisville, KY; and her nephew Billy Brown of Louisville, KY.. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
