He was predeceased by: his father Albert Ackerman; and his son Chester Scott Ackerman. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ackerman; his children, Mary Beth Hubbard (George) of Guston, KY, Thomas Lee Ackerman, Jr. (Nancy) of Louisville, KY and Gregory Todd Ackerman (Mary) of Brandenburg, KY; and his sister Deborah Day of Louisville, KY.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
