He was predeceased by : his parents, John Henry and Norma Ruth Meade (Calhoun); his former life partner Faye Meade (Todd); and his siblings, James Edward Meade, Roger Lee and Linda Sue Meade.

He is survived by : his wife Alice Joe Meade (Calhoun); his children, Marlana Mitchell (Glenn) of Frankfort and Mary Lee Craig (Chris) of Brodhead; his sisters, Wilma Christine Rowlett, Alma Francis Bruner and Thelma Yvonne Pruitt; and his grandchildren, Molly Elizabeth Craig of Brodhead and Keaton Patrick Craig of Brodhead.
