It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Dejardins of Brodhead, Kentucky, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred McMullen and Elizabeth McMullen; her husband Leonard Dejardins; her sons, Paul and Wayne Matthews; and her brother Billie McMullen.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Valerie McCartney of Toledo, Ohio, Elizabeth Caudill (Larry) of Casey Co and Thomas Vuocolo of North Carolina; her great grandchildren, Chelsea Matthews, Tabitha Caudill, Carolyn McCartney and Dominic Vuocolo; and her caregiver Jeannia Elder.
