It is with sadness that the passing of Carl Rufus Gibson of Bronston, Kentucky is shared. Carl, born on October 18, 1930, passed away on August 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Parker Wesley Gibson and Dessie Flynn Gibson; his wife Willa "Dean" Gibson; his siblings, Theodore Gibson, Raymond Gibson, Hershel Gibson and Gladine Walden; his son-in-law Michael Walden; his grandson Shane Walden; and his great grandchild Ethan Swift.
He is survived by: his children, Carl Gibson, Jr. of Science Hill, Terrye Walden of Somerset, Kathy Ragle (Junior) of Bronston and Carolyn Gibson of Danville, KY; and his caregiver Marilyn Mink of Bronston. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Clifty Road Baptist Church in memory of Carl Gibson.
