He was predeceased by: his parents, Dawson John Perry, Jr. and Katherine Perin Perry Ulrich; and his siblings, Dawson John Perry, III, Linda Bryant and Katie Burgess.

He is survived by: his children, Richard Perry, Jr. of Bracken Co, Jason Perry (Dottie) of Cynthiana, Brandy Perry (Robert Maddox) of Cynthiana, Melodi Massengale of Brooksville, KY. and Lyric Massengale of Brooksville, KY.; his grandchildren, Cameron Perry, Preston Perry, Alexis Franklin, William Perry and Jack Perry; and his sister Jenny Smith.
