He is survived by: his wife Ellen Knight Lear; his children, Hannah Daughtery, John Buchanan, Josh Lear, Elizah Groves, Emmali Lear and Timmy Buchanan; his nephews, Ethan Gaines and Aden Gaines; his sister Lisa Gaines (Alton); and his parents, Wayne Lear (Reba) and Patsy Lear. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
