It is with sadness that the passing of Joan Carmickle Norris of Brownsville, Kentucky is shared. Joan, born on September 11, 1953, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Joan will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bethel Earl and Wanda Minton Carmickle; and her sister Jean Clark. She is survived by: her son Andy Potter of Smiths Grove, KY; her granddaughters, Andrea Potter and Amber Potter; her siblings, Bethel "Simon" Carmickle (Kristie) of Bowling Green and Lawrence Carmickle (Melissa) of Lindseyville; her close friend Tommy Vincent; and her caregiver Gena Yoakem. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and special cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Patton Funeral Home—brownsville Chapel (504 Washington St, Brownsville, KY 42210). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
