She was predeceased by: her husband Wendell Gene "Blackie" Ake; and her parents, Calvin Bell and Geneva Ward Bell. She is survived by: her children, Shelly Ake of Buffalo, Wendell Gene Ake Jr. of Buffalo and Travis Ake of Taylorsville; her sisters, Becky Hutcherson (Freddie) of Buffalo, Libbie Engle (Donnie) of Buffalo and Lisa Spalding (P. J.) of Buffalo; her grandchildren, Trevor Ake, Trenton Ake, Kelly Ake, Hunter Dye and Autum Dye; and her great grandchildren, Tyler Ake, Wrenleigh Ake and Zurilynn Duvall.
In lieu of flowers donations to the family can be made at the funeral home.
