David Lawrence Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Lawrence Smith of Burkesville, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 9, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Enoch Smith and Marjorie Gladys Lewis Cooper; and his siblings, Donna Combs and Jeffery Smith. He is survived by: his daughters, Dawn Manthei (Stephen) of Marrowbone, KY and Melissa Smith of Burkesville, KY.; his sisters, Rita Silvers of Crystal River and Pat Brandon of Crystal River; his grandchildren, Garrit Manthei (Analea), Lakota Riddle (Artie Klaff) and Kaitlynn Riddle; his great grandchild Augustus Manthei; and his close friend Todd Stephenson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home (304 N Main St, Burkesville, KY 42717). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
