It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David E. Forwood (Burlington, Kentucky), who passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsworth Forwood and Bertha Forwood (Gentle); his wife Ethel Combs; and his daughter Dorothea Nacell. He is survived by: his siblings, Howard Forwood (Sherrie) and Christine Huyck (Greg); and his children, Amy, Jennifer (Shannon), David, Ryan, Dan Mazzella, Melissa (Todd), Megan (Maher) and Cathy (Shane). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Linnemann Funeral Homes (1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David's name to the Burlington, Kentucky Police and Fire Rescue.
