With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward William Schmidt of Burlington, Kentucky, who passed away on December 20, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Iverna Schmidt; his great grandchild Lexi Schmidt; his parents, William Schmidt (Grace Schmidt) and Grace Schmidt; and his siblings, Jerry Schmidt and Betty Liggett.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Schmidt (Becky) of Independence, KY, David Schmidt (Darlene) of Dry Ridge, KY, Donna Grubbs (Jim) of Walton, KY and Diane Sper (Mike) of Erlanger, KY.; and his brother-in-law James Lipscomb (Jean) of Bondurant, IA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Florence Baptist Temple Church Building Fund in Edward's memory.
