He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Edward Massey and Nora Elizabeth Owens Massey; his wife Louvena Burmett Massey; and his brother Joseph Gordon Massey. He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia Ann Eastham (Lawrence) of Nancy Ky and Jenny Lee Catchen of Lexington; and his siblings' children, Larry Eastham of Midway, Julie Ann Metcalf (Mark) of Lancaster, Susie Elizabeth Catchen (Brandon) of Lexington and Meshell Massey (Brad) of Myrtle Beach.
