He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce A. Hamel (Beatrice) and Beatrice Jones Hamel. He is survived by: his wife Judith Kay Mayfield; his sons, Donald "Scott" Hamel (Jessica) of Taylor Mill, KY and Jason Kelsay Hamel (Amanda) of Independence, KY; his brothers, Richard A. Hamel (Suzanne) of Covington, KY and James Hamel of Covington, KY; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Scott Hamel of Independence, KY, Kelsay Hamel of Newport, KY, Jackson Hamel of Independence, KY, Liam Hamel of Independence, KY and Josie Hamel of Independence, KY. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.
