He is survived by: his mother Patricia Mitchell (Owens) of Somerset, KY; his wife Angela Michell; his children, Dakota Allen Mitchell of Burnside, KY and Emily Mitchell of Burnside, KY; his siblings, Sheila Ramsey of Somerset, KY and Rodney Mitchell (Vonda) of Indiana; his nieces and nephews, Samantha Butte (Jorden), Shelbie Ramsey of Somerset, KY, Keith Mitchell (Amber Still) and Lucas Mitchell (Cassie); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brycen Butte, Carter Butte, Jude Mitchell, Aurora Mitchell, Atlas Mitchell and Amelia Mitchell; and his pets, Little John, Gizmo, Binks, Trouble, Presley and Wynonna.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Main Chapel (5900 US Hwy 27, Science Hill, KY 42553). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form in donations to the Richard Allen Mitchell Memorial Fund c/o Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
