Doris Jean Mullins Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Jean Mullins (Butler, Kentucky), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 6, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ransom and Flora Bernetta Morgan (Sexton); her husband Gene Mullins, Sr.; and her brothers, Otis Arville Morgan and Hurshell Aldon Morgan.
She is survived by: her children, Regina Gregg (Lonnie), Daryl Mullins (Sheila) and Bill Mullins (Nancy); her children-in-law, Connie Mullins and Bill Brown; her grandchildren, Shannon Gregg (Jenni), Jason Gregg (Ruth), Brandon Gregg (Christina), Trey Mullins (Ashley), Brent Mullins (Luong Lai), Ed Brown (Valerie Babin), Samantha Brown, Jessica Musto (Jason), Brett Mullins (Mallory), Tricia Riley (Josh), Donna Mullins Gonzales (Rubel) and Nancy Sue Shoemaker; her children, Renee Brown and Gene Mullins, Jr.; and her granddaughter Jeanna Sue Mullins. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peoples Funeral Home (8340 US-27, Butler, KY 41006). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Soap and Sobriety, Inc., a newly formed non profit that provides toiletries and sundry items to persons in addiction recovery centers (application for 501c3 status in process), c/o Nancy Mullins, 536 Maher Road, Walton KY 41094 or to the River Valley Nursing Home Activity Fund, 305 Taylor Street, Butler, KY 41006.
