It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Maxwell (Butler, Kentucky), who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Francis and Susie Jane Tucker Maxwell. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Maxwell; his children, James (Sherri), R. L. (Violet), Leland (Jacqueline), Wayne Maxwell (Linda) and Geneva Carter (Bill); and his grandchildren, Bradley Maxwell (Cassie), Valerie Maxwell, Clarissa Wilson (Tony), Malia Maxwell, Mason Maxwell (Taylor), Stephanie Carter and Adrienne Hedges. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Peoples Funeral Home (8340 US Hwy 27, Butler, KY 41006). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Peoples Funeral Home-Butler (8340 US Hwy 27, Butler, KY 41006).
