She was predeceased by: her husband J. R. Smith; and her son Charlie Smith. She is survived by: her son Howard (Melissa Smith); her grandchildren, Evan Smith (Madison) of Fredonia, KY, Mitch Elmore of Crossville, TN, Brittany Brown of Crossville, TN and Erica York (John) of Knoxville, TN; her great grandchildren, Hasten Smith, Ellison Smith, Ty Elmore, Brayson Elmore, Autumn Elmore, Eli York, Ryelynn York and Addley Brown; and her parents, Charles Thomas Benson and Faye Irene Vencill Benson.
