He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ezell and Mattie Whitman Ezell; his wife Hazel Holley Ezell; and his siblings, Dale Ezell, Billy Ezell and Rose Sholar.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Ezell (Crystal) of Cadiz, James Martin (Angie) of Cadiz, Tammy Thomas (Roy Earl) of Cadiz and Keana Hyde (Wayne) of Cadiz; his grandchildren, Hunter Ezell (Cheyenne), Colt Ezell, Justin Thomas (Amanda), Matt Thomas (Rachel), Derek Martin (Julie), Kevin Martin (Emily), Keaton Hyde and Kara Hyde; his siblings, Glenn "Tub" Ezell (Ann) of Cadiz, Jesse Ezell (Vickie) of Cadiz, Freddie Ezell (Mary) of Cadiz, Judy Bryer (Joe) of Cadiz and Sharon Wolfe (Dwight) of Cadiz; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Ezell of Hopkinsville, Mildred Ezell of Cadiz and Roger Sholar of Bumpus Mills, TN.. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Goodwin Funeral Home Inc. (138 Main St, Cadiz, KY 42211). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Briensburg Cemetery (892 Briensburg Rd, Benton, KY 42025).
