He was predeceased by : his parents, Jerry Frank and Abbie Lee Garner Capps; and his siblings, Norma Flowers, Ralph Capps and Chattin Capps.

He is survived by : his daughter Michelle Embrey (John); his grandchildren, Rusty Newton (Ashley) and Christy Newton; his great grandchildren, Harlee, Caine, Ava, Logan and Jaida; and his siblings, Faye Swanner (Larry) and Larry Capps.
