She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Steele and Margaret Steele; her brothers, William H "Buddy" Steele (Nancy) and John Kays Steele; her nephews, Michael Thomas Steele and Mark Parrish; and her niece Claudia Mae Steele.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Sara A. Bollinger, Laura Hall (Kevin), Kerry Parrish, Beth Hochstrasser (Emil), William T. Steele (Lisa), Kevin C. Steele (Sheri) and Wayne Parrish (Lori); and her sister-in-law Laverne Steele. She is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews, extended family, church family and many friends.
