It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wanda Sue Hassel of California, Kentucky, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Frank Holmes and Mary Jane Holmes (Burns); her sister Snow Ann Shelton; her sister-in-law Joyce Holmes; and her nephew Andrew Holmes.

She is survived by : her husband Kenneth Hassel; her daughter Karen Sue Hassel; her pet Milo; and her brothers, George Landis Holmes (Cindy) and James William Holmes (Bill). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Resthaven Wednesday April (4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hikes Point Christian Church (2601 Hikes Ln, Louisville, KY 40218).
