Carol left this world on July 31, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. Story and Neatra Bond Story; and her brother James L. Story (Jimmy). She is survived by: her husband Jim Owens of Calvert City; her children, Jo Beth Jones (Sam) of Lexington, Kentucky and Cary Owens of Calvert City, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Kristen Lockhart (Will), Conner Jones (Kristen), Hannah Lewis (Bart) and Hunter Owens; and her great grandchildren, Landry Lockhart, John William Lockhart, Juliette Jones, Callaway Jones, Andie Lewis and Brynn Lewis.
