He was predeceased by: his father Howard Pierce; his siblings, Frances Burkeen, Betty Rednour and Howard Pierce Jr.; and his great grandchild Steven Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Velda Powell Pierce; his children, Lydia Hagan (Tim) of Calvert City, Weldon Pierce (Susan) of Calvert City and Brad Pierce (Angie) of Calvert City; his brothers, Herman Pierce (Pam) of Paducah and Freddie Pierce (Christine) of Sharpe; and his grandchildren, Johnny York, Curtis Pierce, Darren Pierce, Brittany Collins, Justin Hagan, Kaitlin Lindsey and Emily Pierce. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
