He was predeceased by: his father Paul M. Mitchell; his son Steven Mitchell; and his grandson Damontay Majors, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Ryan Johnson of Campbellsville, Andree Johnson of Glasgow, Ontrell Mitchell of Scottsville, Lamonte Clayton of Campbellsville, Tangie Hardin of Campbellsville and Eboni England of Louisville; his siblings, Paul Allen Mitchell, Billy Gene Mitchell of Campbellsville, Sheila Owens of Campbellsville and Deborah Cowherd of Greensburg; his aunt Nora Thornton (Kitti) of Indianapolis; and his uncle James "Mann" Thornton of Greensburg. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
