He was predeceased by: his parents, Sammie T. Benningfield and Rinnie L. Short Benningfield; his daughter Marsha Benningfield; and his siblings, Ralph Benningfield, Glenn Benningfield, Madlyn Parrott, Ruby Morris, Dewell Richerson, Majeal Hutchins, Jenny Underwood and Juanita Newton.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Benningfield of Campbellsville; his sons, Ron Benningfield (Laura) of Campbellsville and Sam Benningfield (Nancy) of Sparta; his son-in-law Jim Haston of Smithville, TN; his grandchildren, Dustin Benningfield of Nashville, TN, Leah Murphy (Bo) of Hendersonville, TN, Jillian Benningfield of Louisville, KY, Chloe Benningfield of Lexington and Beisil Castro (Tania) of Sparta, TN; his great grandchildren, Sadie Benningfield, Emmie Benningfield, Maggie Benningfield, Nora Murphy, Callahan Murphy and Tomas Castro; and his sister Shirley Coffey of Campbellsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
