He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Thompson and Virgie Wright Thompson; his spouse Macel Salsman; his daughter JoAnn Clark (Charles Clark); and his siblings, Wilson Thompson, Polly Coan, Lottie Allen and Alice Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Rev. Freddy Thompson (Regina) of Campbellsville, Garrett Thompson (Tracy) of Buffalo and Dian Cox (J. R.) of Bowling Green. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
