He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Ewing, Jr. and Vivian Muster Ewing; and his wife Betty Bower Ries. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Jimmy Ewing (Pam) of Campbellsville, Jennifer Meyers (Chuck) of Erlanger and Jill Lee (Keith) of Frankfort; his grandchildren, Shelby Ewing Gatlin (Bryan), Ries Ewing (Kelsey), Jennifer Mason Lee, Walker Lee, Carson Meyers and Cooper Meyers; his great grandchildren, Grayson Gatlin, Kennedy Gatlin and Brooks Ewing; his brothers, Jack Ewing (Connie) of Leitchfield and Joe Ewing (Cecilia) of Nashville; and his caregiver Amanda McNeill of Campbellsville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel First Presbyterian Church (502 E Main St, Campbellsville, KY 42718).
