It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Gilbert Kessinger of Campbellsville, Kentucky, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Kenny and Gene Thomas Kessinger; and his granddaughter Zena Parrish. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kessinger (Whelan); his children, Mary Lobb of Campbellsville, John Whelan of Columbia and Joseph Kessinger of Columbia; his grandchildren, Malea Lobb, Trinity Lobb, Joseph Kessinger, Jr., Damon Kessinger and Kaden Kessinger; and his siblings, Marion Knifley, Darrell Kessinger (Pat), Jason Kessinger, Tony Kessinger, Barbara Elliott, Viola Chaney, Porter Kessinger (Toni), Hope Tamez (Mike), Laura Oller and Charles Kessinger. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
