He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Hunt and Winnie Eltis Hunt Hunt; his wife Charlotte Hunt; and his sister Maxine Sullivan. He is survived by: his children, Kristie Mattingly (Ryan) of Campbellsville and Josh Hunt (Nora) of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Olivia Mattingly, Evelyn Mattingly, Emma Hunt, Amelia Hunt and Aria Hunt; and his sisters, Delean Davis of Campbellsville and Carol Miller of Lebanon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
