He was predeceased by: his parents, David Oliver and Mary Leila Murphy (Sapp); and his brother Joseph Gregory Murphy, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Cherry Murphy (Wilson); his children, Jamie Ann Knopp (John) and Terry Bryan Murphy (Jessica); his siblings, Gary Murphy, Chris Murphy (Debbie), Pat Murphy (Betty), Dianne Kelly (Steve), Timothy Murphy (Debra), Monica Price (Bobby) and Donna Perkins (Johnnie); his sister-in-law Charlotte Murphy; his grandchildren, Tye Murphy (Paige), Abi Dye (Evan), Haleigh Collison (Josh), Lily, Ryder and Evie Murphy; and his great grandchildren, L. J., Russell, Hayden, William and Mady.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lr Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service (1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
