He was predeceased by: his parents, Rube Mikel and Catherine Bryant Mikel; his wife Katherine Mikel; and his siblings, Betty Compton, Annette Smothers, Shirley Wise, Dora Mikel, Rena Murphy, Kenneth "Possum" Mikel, Mary Frances Mikel, Guy Douglas Mikel and Barbara Jean Mikel.
He is survived by: his nieces, Janet Mills, Darlene Burris and Louise Lawson.
