She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Hay and Bessie Mardis Hay; her husband Harold Mitchell Smith; her grandson Brian Lee Knifley; and her sister Geneva Schutte.
She is survived by: her children, John C. Smith (Judy) of Richmond and Sue Ellen Knifley (Robert) of Campbellsville; her grandchildren, Kristi Anne Fireline (Kevin) of Nashville, Amy Lynn Knifley of Campbellsville and Jonathan C. Smith (Melissa) of Lexington; and her great grandchildren, Xander Lee Fireline, Ethan Mitchell Smith, Elias Raylan Smith and Olivia Annaleigh Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
