He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Homer and Mary Edna Murphy Duncan; and his former life partner Betty Lois Baxter Duncan. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Bush Duncan; his sons, William Todd Duncan (Shawna) and James W. Cable III; his grandchildren, Morgan Taylor Duncan, Kayla Prater (Zach), Bradley Henson and Kirsten Coldiron; his great grandchildren, Emersyn Mae Turner, Emmalyn Prater, Brody Alan Delgado, Mia Tate Delgado, P. J. Coldiron and Levi Coldiron; and his sisters, Edna Faye King (Herb), Jerri Lou Hughett and Carol Robertson.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Claire Homecare/Hospice.
