He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Lee Hatton and Thelma Mae Adkins Hatton; and his niece Casey Brooke Banks. He is survived by: his sons, Cody Hatton of Waco, Airell Hatton of Campton and Dave Ragandang of Beattyville, Kentucky; his grandsons, Joseph Hatton, Kendrick Ragandang and Keenan Ragandang; and his sisters, Judy Gail Banks (Allen) of Campton, Phyllis Ann Young (Gary) of Hardinsburg and Jessica Lynn Hatton (Anthony Paynter) of Winchester, Kentucky. He is also survived by three nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews.
