He was predeceased by : his mothers, Eunice Calhoun and Vera Dyer Calhoun; his wife Marie R. Calhoun; and his siblings, Don Calhoun, Racine and Clara Belle.

He is survived by : his sons, Rex Allen Calhoun of Manchester and Michael Scott Calhoun (Amanda Rachel) of Corinth, Kentucky; and his brother Max Calhoun of LaFollette, Tennessee.. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
