He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward Cuffley and Mary Chenowith McClure; his sisters, Anna Collison and Sandy Keene; and his niece April Jane Kerns.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia House McClure; his daughters, Melody Lynn McClure of Cynthiana and Lori Ann McCay (Ashley) of Richmond; and his grandchildren, Shelbie Lynn Wright (Carlos Dasilva), Cameron Katie Alexis "Lexi" Hall, Amelia Ryann McCay, Lila May McCay and Clara Reese McCay.
