He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Louise Yelton Linville; his parents, Claude Linville and Nannie Ellison Linville; his daughter Anna Marie Burton; his great grandchild Asher Nichols; and his son-in-law Dan Hildebrand.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Adam Linville (Betty) of Mt. Sterling and Jennifer Jean Edwards (Jason) of Mays Lick; his grandchildren, Bryan David Burton (Ginger Gallagher), Ashley Nicole Hignite (Chris), Charles Nichols (Lauren), Chrissie Nichols, Kevin Ramey (Amy Smith), Joel Hildebrand, William Hildebrand and Brookelynn Edwards; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Mason Nichols, Mallory, Lily, Grayson, Max Hignite, Ayden Whalen, Landon and Catrina Ramey; and his sister-in-law Grace Linville. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home (105 S Locust St, Carlisle, KY 40311). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
