He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jean Fryman Hopkins; his sons, Garnett Lee Hopkins (Patricia), Robert Hopkins (Charlotte), Jackie Hopkins (Heather), Marcus Hopkins (Ashley), Donald McCullough "Hopkins" and Shawn Fryman; his brother Marion "Tarzan" Hopkins (Lola); his grandchildren, Becca Franklin (Johnny), Wesley, Kenzie Hopkins, Cristi Dotson (Nick), Thatcher, Daxton Hopkins, Reagan, Landon Hopkins, Caroline, Allyson, James Michael, Kyra Perkins (Jonathan) and Taylor Ritchie (Justin); his great grandchildren, James Wesley Franklin, Sophia Hopkins, Nathan, Miranda Brady, Colt Dotson, Theodore, Wyatt, Lyla, Sutton Perkins, Leighton Ritchie and Bo Watkins; and his great great grandchild Daniel Brady.
