We are sad to announce that, on May 11, 2026, at the age of 71, Diane Sue Ishmael Brierly of Carlisle, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Diane may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Diane touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Junior Ishmael and Jewell Morris Ishmael; and her sister Debbie Ishmael Bach. She is survived by: her husband Ben Brierly; her son Brad Brierly; her grandchildren, Kayla Brierly and Landon Brierly; her sister Tina Ishmael; her nieces, Lori Bach, Christy Martin and Jeriah Ishmael; and her nephew Jody Bach.
