He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest "Dutch" Stewart and Thelma Eaves Stewart; his wife Patsy Stewart; his sister Ruby McCoy; and his brother-in-law Larry McCoy.

He is survived by: his daughter Beth Ann Toombs (Blandon) of Carrollton, Kentucky.; his siblings-in-law, Brenda Brown and Butch Brown; his close friends, Carolyn Jones, Larry Willhoite and Keith Vannarsdall; his cousins, Wes Stewart, Sandra Bethel Wilson and Hazel Willhoite; his daughters, Wendy Stewart and Carla Boyer; and his parents-in-law, Roy and Ruby McManis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
