He was predeceased by: his father Warner Day; his wife Mary Day; his son Christopher Allen Day; his grandsons, Zachary Ulengchong and Charles "Bub" Day III; his brother Willis Hayes Day; and his daughter-in-law Lavada Day.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Day Jr., Connie Carter (James), Trina Boyd (Keith) and Gina Ulengchong (Pete); his sister Alice Faye Pennington (Ben); his girlfriend Joan Lewis; and his sister-in-law Donna Day. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren.
