We are sad to announce that, on August 23, 2020, at the age of 92, Ruth Madelin Wright Burns of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, born in Rush, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. Wright and Rosa Madelin Holley Wright; her husband William Scott "Bill" Burns; her son Michael Darell Burns; her daughter-in-law Debbie Bowling Burns; and her siblings, Charles William Wright and America "Merkie" Sexton.

She is survived by: her sons, Bill Burns, Jr. (Faye) of Greenup, KY, Roger Dale Burns (Connie) of Ashland, KY and Larry Mitchell Burns of Greenup, KY; her grandchildren, Debbie Lynn Burkett (Terry), Scott Burns (Michelle), Belinda Davidson (Vince), Shelley Taylor (Danny), Amy Horsley (Mike) and Michael Burns; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Matt, Evan, Hannah, Victoria, Michaela, Ace, Drew, Dylan and Kaylee Ann; her great great grandchildren, Aiden and Brantley; her sisters, Maggie Hicks (Ralph) and Mary Ellen Davis; Chris Murphy.

The Family asks that anyone paying their respects at the visitation or funeral wear an appropriate mask and practice social distancing.
