He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas N. McCoy, Sr. and Jewel Allen McCoy; his wife Phoeba Katherine Nolen McCoy; and his brother George Allen McCoy. He is survived by: his children, Melissa "Missi" McCoy (Don McKinney) of Summerfield, FL and Thomas N. McCoy III (Michelle) of Catlettsburg, KY; his grandson Thomas "Billy" McCoy (Hannah); his great grandchild Emmie Kate McCoy of Catlettsburg, KY.; his grandson Bradley Joe McCoy (Sadonna) of Catlettsburg, KY.; his sister-in-law Martha Clara Marshall of Ashland, KY; and his nieces, Connie Wooten, Kristi Maggard, Denvil Kim Marshall (William K. Mills), Kathy Marshall, Lori Wooten and Sandy McCoy (Scott McCoy).
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project.
